Product Description
The battery holder accommodates two 18650 lithium-ion cells and connects them in parallel. This arrangement doubles the available capacity while maintaining the voltage of a single cell. This allows the module to provide longer operating times in portable devices or experimental setups without significantly increasing the overall size.
The cells are inserted from above and snap into the internal contacts. Gold-plated connections prevent contact resistance and oxidation. The external connection is made via screw terminals or solder pads, depending on the version, allowing flexible integration into different circuits.
Typical applications include mobile measurement projects requiring longer runtimes, emergency lights, portable electronics prototypes, or cordless tools used in laboratory environments. The holder is also suitable for assembling test equipment when standard power supply solutions are impractical.
The holder itself requires no additional electronics, but the cells must be charged externally if no integrated charging system is provided. As lithium-ion cells, they require suitable chargers and must not be deeply discharged. The maximum current rating depends on the types of cells used and should comply with their datasheets.
Safety Notice
Lithium-ion cells must not be short-circuited or dropped. The battery holder is intended exclusively for prototypes and testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits. In the event of damage, leakage, or malfunctions, remove the cells from the holder immediately and dispose of them properly.
