Product Description
The battery holder provides integrated power for portable devices or projects using 18650 lithium cells. Its decentralized design allows direct mounting on PCBs without requiring separate cable connections or external holders.
The holder accommodates standard 18650 cells and supplies their voltage of 3.7 V (up to approximately 4.2 V when fully charged) directly to the PCB via solder pads. The spring brass contacts secure the cell mechanically and ensure reliable electrical contact without intermittent connection loss during extended operation.
The decentralized design is suitable for wearables, portable measuring equipment, LED gloves, or battery-powered sensor nodes where space is limited and a compact assembly is required. The holder is also advantageous for projects involving frequent cell replacement, as the cell remains accessible from the outside.
The power supply for the rest of the circuit must be designed for 3.7 V, or a voltage converter is required. Protection circuits against deep discharge or overcharging must be provided separately. For continuous operation with high current flow (over 10 A), check the cell datasheets for suitability, as lithium 18650 cells can overheat when subjected to excessive current.
