Product Description
A miniature pump for conveying air supplies pneumatic systems in laboratory setups or prototype construction with pressurized air. The pump draws its energy from a 6 V DC power source and must therefore be connected to a separate power supply or battery providing this voltage. The maximum pressure buildup of 0.3 bar is suitable for light pneumatic applications such as actuating miniature cylinders, aerating containers, or non-pressurized gas-liquid applications; its performance is insufficient for industrial high-pressure applications.
The pump conveys up to 1.2 liters of air per minute, which is sufficient for intermittent or low-frequency pressure applications. Those requiring a continuous high volume flow will reach the pump's limits. The integrated check valves prevent pressure from flowing back into the pump when the power supply is interrupted. The flexible hose connection system requires no tools and adapts to various applications.
Typical applications include pneumatic controls in experimental setups, building air actuator demonstrations for educational projects, and temporarily aerating or venting test containers. During continuous operation, increased heat generation in the motor should be expected. Operation requires a stable 6 V power supply with a load capacity of at least 1 to 2 amperes; a simple laboratory power supply or regulated power supply can easily meet this requirement.
