Product description
This traffic light module combines three LEDs in the classic arrangement of a traffic light on a narrow circuit board. The red, yellow, and green 8-mm LEDs are positioned next to one another and can each be controlled via their own pin. The common cathode is connected to the GND pin.
The required series resistors are already installed on the circuit board, so the module works immediately after being connected to a 5 V power source. A high signal on one of the R, Y, or G pins switches on the corresponding LED. Since all three colors can be switched independently, any combination is possible, such as individual colors or several colors at the same time.
Connection is made via a four-pin header, and the pin labels make wiring to microcontroller boards easier. A 3 mm mounting hole allows installation on models, in enclosures, or on perforated boards. The module is suitable for simulating a real traffic light sequence, as a status indicator in projects, or for learning how to program timed sequences.
Operation requires a 5 V power supply and an Arduino-compatible board or a similar microcontroller with 5 V logic. The four connections must be connected to GND, a voltage pin, and the pins for red, yellow, and green.
