- Operating current draw of approximately 150 mA at rated load
Product description
The gear motor provides drive power for small robotic vehicles and mobile projects. The integrated metal gearbox reduces the motor's high rotational speed to approximately 90 rpm while increasing the available torque, which is necessary for safely transporting heavier loads.
The 6 V DC power supply allows direct operation from battery packs containing four AA cells or from power supply modules with a corresponding output level; an upstream motor controller (H-bridge) is required to change the direction of rotation or regulate the speed. The TT motor mount fits common vehicle platforms and saves time when assembling drive units.
Possible applications include autonomous vehicles and robots on level ground, competitions such as line-following races, and user-controlled exploration vehicles that are intended to implement variable speeds or obstacle responses. The available power is insufficient for sloped terrain or significantly increased loads.
A power supply is not included; sufficient power supply capacity must be ensured before commissioning, as the typical current draw reaches 150 mA under load. The motor also requires an H-bridge driver board to be controlled by digital signals from a microcontroller.
Safety information
This motor is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes and must not be connected to household electrical wiring. Power sources above 12 V pose a risk of burns and fire; the operating voltage must not exceed 6 V. If you are unsure about the power supply, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
