Product Description
The speed controller converts PWM signals into variable speeds for brushless motors and is suitable for remote-controlled aircraft models, ground vehicles, and other lightweight drive applications. The device supports input voltages between 5 and 14.8 V, corresponding to a 2S to 4S LiPo battery. This eliminates the need to procure a separate power supply for applications in this voltage range.
The speed controller receives its control signal from the standard servo connection of the radio receiver and converts it into motor voltage pulses. An integrated BEC regulator simultaneously supplies 5 V for the receiver and other consumers, with a maximum output of 2 A. In many cases, this eliminates the need for a separate power supply.
Typical applications include 3D drones and multicopters with suitable motor and weight combinations, fast buggies and ground vehicles in model making, as well as aircraft and helicopters with a total weight of up to approximately 2 kg. The small form factor also fits into confined spaces inside device enclosures.
Operation requires a compatible brushless motor whose current consumption remains below 20 A continuously. The radio receiver must provide a PWM control signal. A USB programming adapter is required to program the parameters and must be purchased separately. The device is designed exclusively to control brushless motors and is not suitable for servo drives or other types of loads.
Safety Notice
Incorrectly connected battery terminals will destroy the device and may damage the battery. This device is intended exclusively for model-making prototypes and testing and development purposes and is not suitable for installation in household mains circuits or for vehicles approved for road use. For technical questions about installation in more complex systems, consult a qualified electrician.
