The xTool M2-3W 1064nm Laser Module Kit expands the xTool M2 with an infrared laser module for direct engraving and marking of metals and certain plastics. With a wavelength of 1064 nm, the energy is absorbed much more effectively by reflective metal surfaces than with a conventional diode laser, producing clear, durable, high-contrast markings without first applying marking spray. The module is mounted tool-free using a magnetic holder, allowing it to be quickly swapped with other M2 modules.

Compatible materials

Suitable: stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, brass, copper, silver, gold, anodised surfaces, and certain opaque plastics (e.g. ABS, PC).

Not suitable: transparent acrylic, wood, leather, and textiles - a diode or CO2 laser module is recommended for these materials.
