The xTool P3 guides the beam from its CO2 laser tube via three beam-steering mirrors to the focusing lens in the laser head. Each of these mirrors must transmit the energy with virtually no loss. Even fine deposits or burn marks reduce power, and they do so again at every station along the beam path.

Handling and maintenance instructions
- Before carrying out any work on the optics, switch off the xTool P3 and disconnect it from the power supply.
- Only handle the mirrors by the edges and wear gloves. Place them on a clean cloth to avoid scratches.
- To clean, first remove loose dust with a blower, then wipe in one direction with optical cleaner and an optical cloth. Always apply the cleaner to the cloth, never directly to the mirror.
- Alcohol-based cleaning agents are flammable. Keep away from heat and open flames and store out of the reach of children.
- After replacement, check the beam path and verify the alignment. xTool provides instructions for calibrating the optical path.
- Deposits absorb laser energy and heat the mirror surface. Regular cleaning therefore significantly extends the service life.
- The mirrors are intended exclusively for the xTool P3 and are not interchangeable with other models.
