Product description
The XT90 connector is a high-current connection for DC systems with rated currents up to 90 A. The set contains one male and one female connector with gold-plated contacts that ensure low contact resistance. The asymmetrical connector geometry prevents mix-ups and makes reverse polarity impossible.
The flat contacts fit conductor connections up to 6 mm², are soldered, and require no specialized tools. The design enables high currents while maintaining comparatively compact dimensions. Gold plating keeps contact resistance low even after repeated connection and disconnection.
Applications include high-energy systems such as battery packs in multicopters or electric vehicles, where two- or three-digit currents flow over long periods. The XT90 has also become established in laboratory setups with high battery voltages and suitable chargers. Emergency route lighting with backup batteries also uses this connector.
The gold-plated contacts require careful storage to prevent contamination. Soldering temperatures should not exceed 350 °C to avoid damaging the contact coating. For continuous high currents under vibration, ensure secure, strain-free solder connections.
