Product Description
The XT90E M connector socket is a high-current connector with a threaded adapter for installation in control cabinets, power distribution boxes, or directly in battery systems. The self-locking connection system prevents accidental disconnection under high mechanical loads and vibrations, such as those occurring in mobile or industrial applications.
The socket is designed for continuous currents of up to 90 A and can therefore supply high-power loads such as electric motors, inverters, or charging devices. The gold-plated contacts minimize contact resistance and heat loss even under prolonged loads. The thread enables secure, vibration-resistant mounting on front panels or control panels.
Typical applications include battery management in electric vehicles, mobile power supply systems, and industrial switchgear with high current throughput. Setups with multiple parallel power sources also benefit from the reliable locking mechanism and large conductor cross-sections.
Properly sized conductor cross-sections and protective devices (fuses or circuit breakers) on the device side are required for operation. At voltages above 48 V, a connector connection is considered serviceable only with appropriate documentation and under the supervision of a qualified electrician. The socket alone is a component; system integration requires expert planning.
