Product description
The XT30 plug/socket set consists of a pair of ready-to-use connectors, each with a 10 cm piece of cable. The gold-plated contacts ensure low contact resistance even after repeated plugging and unplugging. The 18 AWG cross-section (nominal cross-sectional area approximately 0.75 mm²) enables safe current transmission of up to 30 A without overheating.
The design with flat, wide contacts distributes the current density over a large area and reduces contact resistance. The compact dimensions allow use even in confined installation spaces, such as those commonly found in drones, portable energy storage devices, or RC models. The gold-plated surface protects against oxidation and corrosion.
The connector set is suitable for powering motor controllers in multicopters, replacing batteries in portable devices, or connecting power distributors to receiver electronics in RC vehicles. For high-current applications above 20 A, the connector temperature should be checked regularly.
The cables are already soldered; another set must be used for different lengths or cross-sections.
Safety information
The connector is intended exclusively for power supply in prototypes and test setups, not for use in household electrical circuits. When carrying currents above the rated capacity, there is a risk of fire due to overheating of the contacts. Work on energy-storage components, such as batteries and capacitors, should only be carried out when they are de-energized.
