Product Description

This ultrasonic sensor detects distances of up to approximately four meters and is therefore suitable for monitoring rooms or containers, as well as for robotics projects operating in open spaces. Greater distances cannot be measured reliably.

The sensor emits ultrasonic pulses and calculates the distance from the echo's transit time. The resolution of just under one third of a centimeter is sufficient for most positioning tasks; the sensor is not designed for millimeter-precise measurements.

The waterproof design with an epoxy coating withstands splashing water and moisture, making it suitable for outdoor projects, aquaponics systems, or damp basement rooms. The module cannot withstand complete immersion.

The sensor operates at 5 volts and requires only two digital signal lines for data transmission. This makes it compatible with standard microcontroller boards. All that is needed to put it into operation is a power supply; a single sensor consumes practically no power.
