Product description
A two-position switch enables simple selection functions in circuits, such as switching between two operating modes or enabling and disabling circuits. The switching positions mechanically lock into place, so no power is required to maintain the position.
Each position corresponds to a defined switch setting; switching is performed manually and without spring return. With a maximum switching current of 5 A, this switch is suitable for low-voltage DC circuits and low AC loads. The component is not approved for connection to household appliances or systems with a 230 V mains voltage.
Typical applications include model making, robots, and prototypes, for example switching between two sensor operating modes or switching drives on and off. This switch can also be used as a function selector in measurement and laboratory setups.
The 54 mm design fits screw terminals and plug-in terminals of common automation components. A circuit diagram is recommended for safe wiring; at operating voltages above 48 V, a qualified electrician should be consulted before closing or opening the connection.
