Product description
This servo motor is controlled via PWM signals and is suitable for precise positioning tasks in RC models, robots, and moving mechanisms. The pulse duration determines the target position of the output shaft, while an internal plastic gear train transfers the power from the drive motor to the output shaft.
The operating voltage is between 3.3 and 6 V. Higher voltage increases both rotational speed and torque; at 4.8 V, the motor reaches 110 rpm and 1.3 kg/cm, while at 6 V it reaches 130 rpm and 1.5 kg/cm. The control system operates analogously, with the motor continuously adjusting its current position to the applied PWM signal.
The rotation range is 180 to 200 degrees counterclockwise. Typical applications include steering functions in model vehicles, rudder control in model aircraft, swiveling camera mounts, and robot arms. When stationary, the servo requires only a few milliamps, but power consumption increases significantly under load or when the shaft is blocked.
Connection is made via a 3-pin connector with separate wires for ground, supply voltage, and control signal. The increased power consumption under load should be taken into account when designing the power supply.
Safety information
When directly connected to 5 V logic outputs of a microcontroller board, the servo's control signal may exceed its 3.3 V level; a level shifter is then required. This product is intended exclusively for building prototypes, tests, and development projects and is not suitable for operation in fixed installations or domestic electrical installations.
