Product description
This ignition lead connects the ignition coil and spark plug in combustion engines. The insulated cable transmits high-voltage pulses required to ignite the fuel-air mixture.
The robust insulation protects against high-voltage injuries and prevents arcing to the engine surface. Thermal resistance up to approximately 150 °C makes the cable reliable even during extended operation in the engine compartment. With a length of 1 m, the cable fits most standard engine configurations without additional extensions.
The product is suitable for replacement and maintenance work on smaller combustion engines such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, emergency generators, or marine outboard motors. The lead is also used when restoring older motorized equipment or in motorsports, where reliable transmission of ignition pulses over longer distances is required.
Connection requires an accessible ignition coil position and access to the spark plug well. The cable is not designed for continuous operation at temperatures above approximately 150 °C and should be regularly checked for cracks or wear in the insulation.
Safety notice
High-voltage leads carry voltages in the kilovolt range. Work on the ignition circuit must only be performed with the engine completely switched off; there is a risk of electric shock during operation. Exercise caution during installation or maintenance and, if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
