Product description

The T2 timing belt with a 5 mm tooth pitch is sold by the metre for small to medium drive solutions in prototypes and DIY projects. The timing belt can be cut to the required length, without leftover sections causing wear or the need to source new components.

The plastic material with an embedded steel flex core provides sufficient rigidity for straight runs while also allowing tight radii in arrangements with many curves. The 6 mm width at a timing belt width of 12 mm fits standard small gears and idler pulleys. Calibration is not required.

Typical applications include driving model vehicles, operating axes in 3D printers and similar fabber machines, and small conveyor belts in laboratory setups. Sold-by-the-metre material is also useful as a replacement part when existing drives show gradual signs of wear.

Cutting is done with a sharp knife or scissors; deformed cut ends can easily be reworked. Suitable gears and pulleys must be sourced separately. The maximum circumferential speed depends on the load and design of the driven component.
