Product description
This soldering sponge keeps the soldering tip clean and ready for use. When wiping, the porous sponge absorbs solder residue, oxidation, and flux contamination that would otherwise accumulate on the tip and impede heat transfer. This keeps the contact surface smooth and ensures even wetting with new solder.
Moisten the sponge with water before use and attach it to the soldering station. After several soldering operations, depending on the level of contamination, the surface can be regenerated by wringing it out and moistening it again. No cold treatment is necessary; normal room temperature is sufficient. The yellowish coloring makes contamination easier to see.
The sponge is suitable for all manually operated soldering stations used in hobby, training, and workshop environments. In electronics development and repairs, it ensures stable soldering performance even during longer work sessions. The compact size fits standard soldering stands with a sponge holder.
Replacement soldering sponge supplied without a holder; simply insert it into existing holders or combine it with a suitable moisture reservoir.
