Product description
This 8-ohm speaker outputs audio at 3 W rated power and is used in measuring and testing devices, robotics projects, or educational kits where voice output or warning tones are useful. Its compact 70*40 mm design fits into confined setups without taking up much space.
The 8-ohm impedance determines the circuitry of the power amplifier. The speaker cannot be connected directly to a microcontroller; instead, an audio amplifier IC with sufficient output power must be connected in between, such as a Class-D amplifier or a simple LM386-type amplifier. Power consumption depends on the selected supply voltage and volume.
The speaker is often used in acoustic signaling projects, for example to communicate distance measurements through beeps, or for voice output in robots. It can also be used in data loggers or measuring devices to provide notifications when events occur.
An amplifier module is required for operation. The solder pads require secure mechanical mounting or wiring to prevent intermittent contacts.
Safety information
The speaker is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Continuous or constantly repeated loads over several hours can cause overheating. Work on or near an electrical installation is reserved for qualified electricians; if anything is unclear, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
