Product description
A flexible shaft coupling connects two shafts and compensates for unavoidable positional and alignment deviations. The coupling element made of elastomeric material cushions vibrations and shocks, reducing wear on bearings and gears.
The coupling is slid onto both shaft ends and secured with set screws. It tolerates axial offsets, radial offsets, and angular misalignment simultaneously, without requiring precise alignment. This also allows larger tolerance deviations between the driven components to be compensated.
The coupling is frequently used to drive pumps, compressors, and blowers in laboratory and model-building setups. It is also suitable for isolating motor vibrations in measuring and test rigs where reliable power transmission with damped oscillations is required. No further maintenance is necessary during operation.
Safety information
The coupling may only be used with shafts of the specified diameter to prevent damage and slipping. It is intended exclusively for building prototypes and experimental setups and is not suitable as a component of industrial production systems.
