Product Description
An inductive proximity switch detects the movement of a metal mirror surface without touching it. The component operates at 12 V DC and is particularly suitable for vehicle installations where automatic mirror movements are controlled or monitored.
The switch uses a magnetic induction field that is interrupted when a metal surface approaches. The switching point can be adjusted by positioning the sensor relative to the mirror surface. The integrated lighting indicates the operating status and switching position, making troubleshooting easier.
Typical applications include automatic mirror folding mechanisms in vehicles, driving safety systems with mirror monitoring, and test setups for vehicle electronics. The switch also enables the subsequent automation of manual mirror mechanisms through switching logic.
The 12 V power supply must be provided separately. The switching output provides sufficient power for small loads or for controlling a relay for higher currents. A qualified electrician must be consulted for operation with vehicle electronics; connection to the household power circuit is prohibited.
