Product description
The rod-end bearing connects rods and levers in an articulated manner across multiple planes. The female insert with an M8 thread is screwed directly onto the rod, eliminating the need for a separate fastening nut. The ball head pivots within the bearing, compensating for slight angular deviations between the connected elements.
Self-lubrication through the bearing material means that additional grease or oil is not required. This reduces maintenance and contamination during operation. The bearing is suitable for dynamic applications with varying loads up to its rated load capacity of 4.5 kN.
The bearing is used in linear drives, crank mechanisms, and lifting mechanisms. A typical application is connecting a cylinder to a push rod in a machine, where slight angular deviations occur with each stroke and are compensated for by the joint.
The 8 mm bore determines the thread size and therefore also the load capacity. Corresponding product series are available for other diameters. The bearing does not require additional lubrication and should be protected from contamination, especially in damp or dusty environments.
Safety information
The rod-end bearing is a wear part and is subject to natural wear under dynamic loads. Load capacity and service life depend on correct alignment, load direction, and operating frequency. Before use in critical applications, consult the manufacturer's technical data.
