Product description
This rod-end bearing with a male external thread connects linkage rods to machine components while allowing movement. The ball socket accommodates bolts or bearing pins up to 8 mm in diameter and allows angular movement in all directions through its spherical guide. The M8 external thread with a 1.25 mm pitch fits into holes with the corresponding thread and provides a positive-fit connection without the need for additional alignment pins or securing elements.
The steel ball is housed in a maintenance-free plastic shell, eliminating the need for relubrication. The design handles these movements without play, making the bearing suitable for steering systems on machines, chassis, and adjustable mounts. It is typically used in agricultural equipment where tool mounts and control rods must be adjusted horizontally and vertically.
Only a suitable threaded hole is required for installation. The bearing operates in a temperature range of −40 to +80 °C and withstands normal field loads without preload. Continuous overloading or impact loads against the end stops of the ball shell must be avoided.
Safety information
The bearing is a structural component for machines and equipment and may only be installed by qualified personnel in systems used for their intended purpose. Check for proper operation or wear before continued use. Improper installation may cause injury due to unsecured movement.
