Product description

The rod-end bearing with an 8 mm bore and M8 male thread connects linkage rods to other structural elements while allowing tilting. The ball head compensates for angular misalignment in multiple planes without creating mechanical stress in the connected components. This helps rod-end bearings extend the service life of rod mountings, especially when the axes cannot be aligned precisely.

The plain bearing bushing is made of plastic and requires no lubrication. The bearing has a load capacity of up to 5 kN under tensile load and is suitable for machines and fixtures that redirect loads along a rod. Typical applications include automation technology, such as pivoting arms or systems with variable working heights, as well as mechanical presses with rod mountings.

The M8 male thread allows installation by fastening with a locknut; an additional nut is required to prevent twisting. The compact design also allows use where installation space is limited. For continuous operation, the mechanical load should remain below 5 kN, and the connected rods should be sized with sufficient rigidity for the transverse forces that occur.
