Product description
The rocker switch combines switching functionality and status indication in a single component. The red or green illumination signals the operating status of the device or circuit without requiring an additional light. This reduces the visual space required on the control panel.
The switch is designed for an operating voltage of 250 V AC and can therefore be connected directly to mains power. It can switch circuits of up to 16 A, resulting in a maximum power of approximately 4 kW. The rocker sits flat and can also be operated while wearing gloves. Screw terminals ensure a secure, maintenance-free connection without soldering.
Applications include control elements on machines and systems where operators need to see the switching status at a glance, such as emergency-stop functions, start-stop stations, or operating-mode selectors. The illumination can be used to indicate active operating states or as a fault warning. The switch is also suitable as a local on-off station on test benches and test equipment.
Installation is carried out in the pre-drilled switch cutout of a control cabinet or control panel. A qualified electrician must carry out the wiring and verify that the current load of the connected consumers does not exceed 16 A. The light source must be purchased separately, and its operating voltage must be matched to the circuit.
