Product description
A prototype expansion module connects a single-board computer directly to experimental circuits without separate wiring or external breadboards. The board plugs onto the 40 GPIO pins and immediately provides soldering areas for resistors, sensors, and other components, while keeping the pins accessible from the front.
Because the circuit is connected directly to the computer's logic levels, the integrated level shifter protects sensitive 3.3 V inputs from damage caused by 5 V signals from sensors or actuators. Dedicated power rails allow components with higher voltage or current requirements to operate without overloading the board. Calibration is not required.
Examples of use include temperature measurements with external sensors for environmental monitoring, controlling LEDs or servomotors for small robotics projects, or long-term data logging with connected memory ICs. A project with a real-time clock and data storage uses the module as a permanent carrier board and does not require rewiring later.
Operation requires the computer's own power supply and, optionally, external power sources for power-hungry loads. Work on 230 V mains wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Safety information
The module is not intended for installation in household electrical circuits. It is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations is reserved for qualified electricians; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
