Product Description
This shield adds a prototyping area to the Raspberry Pi Model 3, allowing electronics projects to be built directly on it. The 40-pin header connects all GPIO outputs of the single-board computer to the integrated soldering area without the need for additional wiring.
The breadboard-compatible arrangement of the contacts allows the use of commercially available jumper wires, resistors, sensors, and other standard components. This makes it easy to quickly build experimental circuits to test new ideas before implementing them permanently on a circuit board.
Typical applications include sensor projects for data acquisition, controlling LEDs and motors, or implementing measurement systems for prototype development. The shield remains space-saving and leaves the Pi’s connectors unobstructed.
The Raspberry Pi’s own power supply is sufficient for operation; the shield does not require a separate power supply. It connects by plugging onto the board’s GPIO headers.
Safety Notice
The shield is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Qualified electricians are required for work on or near the home’s electrical installation. Consult a qualified electrician before commissioning if anything is unclear.
