Product description

An illuminated latching switch with an integrated LED is suitable wherever switch positions need to provide visual feedback and only small loads are being switched. The switch operates as a changeover switch and can switch up to 3 A DC or 10 A AC at 250 V.

The latching mechanism keeps the switch in the selected position, so no force is needed to hold it. The LED illumination remains lit regardless of the switch position, making the operating status visible even in dark environments. The solder lug connections allow direct wiring on the circuit board or connection to suitable crimp contacts.

Typical applications include control panels on laboratory equipment, indicator switches on measuring instruments, function selectors in audio and amplifier technology, and status indicators in control cabinets. The flat design fits into narrow front panels; however, higher-power applications require a relay output from the switch.

The maximum switching capacity is 10 A for AC; loads beyond this limit must be switched via a separate relay or contactor. The LED illumination requires a separate power supply, which may be independent of the switching voltage.

The switch is not intended for installation in household mains circuits and may only be used for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Work on or near electrical installations must be carried out by qualified electricians; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning. When wiring, observe the permitted switching capacities and use an upstream switching relay for higher loads.
