Product description

The power-off switch enables controlled shutdown of a single-board computer. Instead of immediately interrupting the power supply, the module signals to the system via a GPIO pin that a shutdown should be initiated. The operating system then shuts down in a controlled manner, preventing data loss or file system errors.

The remote control operates wirelessly and allows the device to be switched off from a distance without requiring physical access to the board. The module is connected to the single-board computer’s 5 V power supply and linked to its operating system via an available GPIO pin. It is ready for use immediately.

Applications include media-based installations where frequent power interruptions should be avoided, as well as portable systems or systems installed in enclosures where remote control improves convenience. An orderly shutdown is also useful for unattended stations: a mini computer located at a remote site shuts down reliably instead of abruptly losing power.

A single-board computer with an available GPIO pin and an installed operating system that responds to shutdown signals is required. The remote control requires batteries, the type of which is specified in the documentation.
