Product description
This 2-pin connector socket with a PH2.0 pitch accommodates the mating connectors used for cable and module connections. The contacts are angled at 90 degrees, allowing them to be inserted parallel to the circuit board. Depending on the installation position, this saves space or simplifies wiring on densely populated circuit boards.
The phosphor bronze contacts ensure reliable current flow during repeated insertion. The socket is secured to the circuit board using two threaded mounting holes, preventing it from shifting even with frequent handling.
Applications include modular and connector systems in electronics learning projects, prototyping with sensor or actuator cable harnesses, and setting up test rigs with frequently changing wiring. In battery power systems, the socket is often used as a reliable interface between a portable battery pack and the circuit.
Basic skills in mechanical assembly and soldering are required to install the socket and solder cables. The breakaway design allows individual pin positions to be removed or disabled as needed without damaging the rest of the socket.
Safety information
The product is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes, and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits. When working with a soldering iron, take safety precautions against heat and solder fumes. If you have questions about sizing the connected power supply or the safety of the setup, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
