Product Description
This soldering exercise involves assembling a functional organ while practicing essential soldering skills. At its core is an NE555 timer, which generates different frequencies depending on the connected RC circuit. Eight keys select different resistor and capacitor combinations to play eight different tones.
The operating principle uses the NE555's ability to oscillate as an astable multivibrator. Each key press connects a different resistor-capacitor combination, immediately changing the oscillation frequency. After soldering, the circuit board is installed in a simple plastic housing; the small speaker is already assembled.
Applications: Beginners receive immediate feedback while soldering, as each completed key produces a tone and thereby confirms that the corresponding circuit section is working. In educational settings, the organ is used to teach oscillator concepts and frequency modulation through RC circuits. Simple melodies can be played as soon as several keys have been soldered.
Safety Notice
Soldering produces fumes; ensure adequate ventilation. This learning module is intended exclusively for assembling prototypes and for testing and development purposes, and is not suitable for installation in household electrical circuits.
