Product Description
An operational amplifier module with the OPA627AU chip provides two independent amplifier stages that can each be configured as an amplifier, comparator, or filter. The chip stands out for its low distortion and wide bandwidth, making it particularly suitable for audio signal processing and precise measurement signal conditioning.
The module is powered by symmetrical voltages between ±5 V and ±18 V, allowing it to be integrated flexibly into various circuits. This voltage range is also available for output control. The assembly on a PCB with pin headers enables direct connection to development boards or other analog circuits without additional wiring.
The module is used in audio preamplifiers, where it amplifies microphone signals or line-level signals, as well as in sensor circuits that process weak analog signals from thermocouples or pressure sensors. It also provides reliable performance as an active filter for signal conditioning before analog-to-digital converters.
Two stable power sources with the specified voltage values are required for operation. The design of the surrounding components (resistors and capacitors) depends on the application and must be calculated before commissioning.
Safety Notice
The power supply must be protected against short circuits and reverse polarity. The module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes; it is not suitable for installation in household mains circuits. When working on the power supply or if anything is unclear before commissioning, consult a qualified electrician.
