Product Description
This relay module connects the digital outputs of microcontrollers to AC consumers such as lamps or motors. The switching relay is controlled via a simple digital signal (Low/High) and switches the galvanically isolated load in the circuit on or off.
The galvanic isolation between the control side and the load side provides essential protection. The microcontroller and the 220 V installation are independent of one another, so faults in one circuit cannot damage the other. The normally open contact ensures safety when the module is de-energized, as the load remains automatically switched off.
Typical applications include remote switching of laboratory lights, automatic shutdown of groups of consumers using timers, or remote control of household appliances via a test setup. With a maximum switching load of 10 A, many everyday consumers can be controlled.
The 5 V DC operating voltage is supplied via the microcontroller pin or a separate 5 V source; a safe power supply in the 220 V AC range is additionally required for the circuit of the load being switched. These tasks and installation in existing circuits must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
