Product Description
The print nozzle with a 0.3 mm opening is a wear part for FDM 3D printers that accepts 1.75 mm-thick filament and presses it through the narrow opening. The M6 thread fits directly into common printer hotends with an MK8 connection. The smaller opening enables higher resolution than 0.4 mm standard nozzles, but requires thinner layer heights and longer print times for the same amount of material.
Brass transfers the heat from the heater block evenly to the filament. To ensure that the plastic melts and flows out evenly, a sufficiently high extruder temperature is required, often well above 200 °C for many materials. A loose or contaminated nozzle causes print failures and poor surface quality.
The 0.3 mm opening is suitable for detailed miniatures, fine structures, and gears where accuracy is more important than print speed. However, throughput is significantly reduced, so the nozzle is not suitable for large-area prints or mass production. Replacement is part of regular printer maintenance.
Operation requires a power supply for the printer, printing software, and the appropriate filament. After the hotend has cooled, the nozzle is unscrewed and the new one installed. The thread should be checked before installation to prevent damage.
Safety Information
The print head reaches temperatures above 200 °C during operation. Contact may cause burns. The device is intended exclusively for prototyping and development purposes.
