Product Description
This flanged ball bearing belongs to the miniature bearing group and supports radial loads in a very small installation space. The sealed design with steel shield caps on both sides protects the balls from dirt and moisture, eliminating the need for maintenance and allowing the bearing to operate reliably even in harsh environments.
The 24 mm diameter flange enables axial mounting on shafts or in housings with two screws, eliminating the need for additional retaining rings. The steel balls in the hardened steel rings withstand vibrations and varying loads over extended periods. The plastic cage keeps costs lower than brass cages.
These miniature bearings are used in rotating model-building applications, such as in the gear shafts of robotic vehicles or in high-speed spindles of power tools used for prototyping. In instrumentation assemblies, they support measurement principles that rely on rotating sensor encoders.
The bearing withstands continuous radial loads of up to approximately 75 Newtons and shock loads of up to approximately 100 Newtons; greater forces lead to premature wear. During continuous operation above 15000 min⁻¹, adequate cooling should be provided. The shaft, bearing seat, and fastening hardware are not included with the bearing.
