Product Description
The 626ZZ miniature ball bearing is a rolling-element bearing that has proven effective in designs with limited space and requirements for smooth, fast rotation. The metal shields closed on both sides protect against light contamination without requiring the maintenance associated with a fully sealed product.
With a 6 mm bore, the bearing fits commonly used shaft diameters; the 19 mm outer diameter enables compact installations. The steel cage and steel balls allow speeds of up to approximately 30,000 rpm. However, this also requires shaft runout tolerances and clean bearing seats; eccentric installation or contamination in the bearing seat causes vibrations and significantly shortens the service life.
These bearings are used in high-speed model motors, fans for ventilation applications, and rotary axes in robot end effectors or machining spindles. Identical dimensions are also used in inline skates and similar recreational equipment.
For installation, the bore and the outer diameter of the bearing housing must be machined to tight tolerances. Dirt in the bearing seat or wear on the shaft leads to increased wear. The bearing is a consumable part; regular replacement is required under intensive use.
Safety Information
High-speed bearings can cause imbalance and vibrations if installed incorrectly or overloaded; eccentric shafts, contamination, or material fatigue create a risk of breakage. Keep people away from rotating parts. This component is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes.
