Product Description

The spring terminal block is a printed circuit board terminal for directly connecting wire leads without soldering. The wires are inserted into the openings of the spring contacts and automatically clamped by operating a lever. This enables quick changes and fatigue-free rewiring without a soldering iron or residue on the circuit board.

The spring-clamp mechanism presses the contacts against the inserted wire, ensuring secure connections for wire cross-sections in the range used for control and signal lines. The terminals are mounted directly on the printed circuit board and take up little space, so they do not interfere with the density of other components.

Example applications include connections between sensors and control modules in prototype circuits that require frequent rewiring, or connections from laboratory test probes to measurement amplifier boards. The solderless plug-in system also proves useful in laboratory setups for quickly connecting different circuit boards. The various available versions can be used to handle wiring tasks of different complexity.

Operation requires only a compatible printed circuit board with suitable drill holes or plated-through holes. The wire cross-section must be within the permitted range for the selected terminal version; otherwise, the connection may be too loose or the wire may be crushed.
