Product description
This shaft coupling rigidly connects two shaft ends so that both sides rotate simultaneously. The cylindrical body made of aluminum alloy accommodates one shaft from each side and clamps them securely with set screws that are inserted from the side.
Because the coupling is rigid, it does not compensate for shaft misalignment. The two shaft axes must therefore be precisely aligned to avoid increasing the load on the bearings. This distinguishes this design from flexible couplings, which can compensate for minor deviations.
The coupling is used wherever a motor shaft is connected to a threaded rod or another shaft, for example in the drive axes of 3D printers or laser cutters. In model making for boats or cars, it also connects motor drives to gearbox outputs or propeller shafts.
The various size options differ in their bore diameters on both sides. This allows different shaft diameters to be connected directly without requiring additional adapters. The correct size is selected based on the diameters of the shafts to be connected.
Safety notice
The shaft coupling may only be installed and removed when stationary. During operation, there is a risk of crushing and injury from the rotating coupling. This component is intended exclusively for prototypes and testing and development purposes.
