Description
Product Overview
- Flexible shaft coupling for connecting two shafts
- 6 and 35 mm diameters, several lengths available
- Connects drive shafts while compensating for tolerances
- Torsionally rigid rubber-metal construction
- Wear-free, maintenance-free
Product Description
This shaft coupling connects two shafts with different diameters while cushioning shocks and compensating for misalignment. The elastic rubber element absorbs impacts and isolates vibrations between the drive and the driven machine.
The construction consists of metal hubs and a central rubber element that requires no additional lubricants. This enables maintenance-free operation over long periods. The coupling accommodates minor radial and axial offsets between the shaft centers, reducing the requirements for mounting precision.
Applications include electric motor-driven conveyor systems that require vibration-damped power transmission, or decoupling the drive and machine in machine tools. With variable-speed drives, the coupling also reduces wear peaks that would occur with rigid connections.
The narrow diameter range (6 mm to 35 mm) makes this coupling suitable for applications where smaller motors or servos need to be connected to more powerful gearboxes or machinery. For higher torques beyond the rated load range or for high-speed shafts, its limits are reached and a more robust coupling is required.
Safety Information
All rotating parts must be covered during operation. Clothing, hair, and loose objects must not enter the rotation area. The coupling is not intended for use in machinery subject to the Machinery Directive unless the manufacturer of the complete system has carried out an appropriate risk assessment.
