Product Description
This brushless ESC controls the speed of DC motors using pulse-width modulation and regulates the power proportionally to the control signal from a radio receiver. At the same time, the ESC provides a stabilized power supply via a BEC output, allowing receivers and servos to be connected directly without requiring a separate power supply.
Its strength lies in the flexibility of its power supply. The ESC works with lithium-polymer batteries between 2 and 6 cells as well as standard DC voltage from 6 to 18 V. This makes it suitable for model aircraft, boats, and vehicles of various size categories. The circuit can be programmed to adjust the speed control curve to the motor characteristics.
Typical applications range from electric model aircraft with small to medium-sized drive motors and radio-controlled boats to quadcopters. In drone builds, the BEC output helps significantly reduce the amount of wiring required by the aircraft. The open design without a plastic housing makes installation in confined constructions considerably easier.
The appropriate current output is selected based on the motor power. The 10-A version is suitable for lightweight models, while the 20-A version is intended for heavier or faster applications. A radio receiver that outputs PWM signals is required for operation. The power supply must match the respective ESC; confusion between LiPo batteries and direct DC voltage must be avoided.
