Product Description

Foam tires for RC aircraft significantly improve traction on grass, sand, and other soft ground. The tires are made of porous foam that flexes to provide more contact area than rigid plastic wheels.

The low weight of these tires has a positive effect on flight performance. They can be fitted onto existing wheels and replaced quickly. This allows the tires to be selected to suit the ground conditions without having to purchase complete wheels.

These tires are suitable for landings on meadows and grass airfields where paved concrete runways are unavailable. On airfields with hard surfaces, they do extend the braking distance, but allow gentler landings with less stress on the aircraft landing gear. The tires are available in several sizes to equip various RC aircraft models.

Before use, check whether the selected size is compatible with the model's wheel mount. The foam tires are not suitable for continuous use on asphalt runways, as they wear quickly there.
