Product description
This voltage adapter connects power supplies with the common 5.5*2.1 mm barrel plug connector to devices powered via a Mini-USB port. The adapter has a female socket, so it connects to the barrel plug on one side and provides a Mini-USB plug on the other.
The 5 V DC voltage passes through directly, without conversion or regulation. If you want to use an existing power supply with a barrel plug output for devices with Mini-USB, this adapter saves you from replacing the entire power supply. The adapter is also unnecessary if power supplies with a Mini-USB output are already available.
Applications include powering development boards, sensors, and small devices from reliable bench power supplies or USB power supplies with a barrel plug adapter. Especially when building prototypes on the workbench with several different power sources in operation, the adapter reduces cable clutter and the risk of mix-ups.
The adapter is supplied without a power supply or USB power source; these must be purchased separately. The connection works only in this direction, not the other way around from Mini-USB to barrel plug.
