Product Description
The flat cable with 15 conductors connects circuit boards and modules over short to medium distances while saving space. Its flat geometry fits into tight installation spaces where round cables would be too cumbersome. The contacts on both sides make it reversible and help prevent connection errors.
The cable uses an FFC connector connection (Flexible Flat Cable), an industry standard for quick assembly without soldering. The 15 conductors enable multiple signal or power connections in parallel, for example between display modules and controller boards or for multi-wire sensor connections. Various lengths cover different installation distances.
Applications include display connections in camera module interfaces, connecting sensor strips in robotic systems, and control bus wiring in compact electronic enclosures. In makerspace projects, the cable connects multiple small boards in a layered assembly without requiring space for bulky connectors. Cascading expansion modules in particular benefits from the low overall height.
The cable is connected via standard FFC sockets on the target boards. If the cables are too long, individual conductors can be desoldered and the connector resoldered, or the cable can be shortened to the required length. Compatibility with the target system's FFC sockets is essential; not all boards use this standard.
