Product description
The linear actuator converts electricity into linear motion by using a magnet inside a coil to push and pull a rod. The device operates with 6 V DC and requires an operating current of approximately 0.5 to 1 A, depending on the version; the required power supply must therefore be dimensioned accordingly.
When connected to the power supply, the actuator is controlled via a relay or transistor, making it easy to control the direction of movement. The stroke varies depending on the model, allowing you to select the right version for different stroke lengths. Calibration is not required.
Typical applications include simple model-making projects such as remote-controlled folding mechanisms, actuating switches or flaps using timer relays or sensors, and hobby automation projects where a short, powerful linear movement is required. The compact design fits into confined spaces, for example beneath a model aircraft wing for actuating control surfaces.
Operation requires a power supply with at least 6 V DC and sufficient current capacity. A relay or transistor is also required for control if the actuator is not intended to remain switched on continuously. Use is limited to prototypes, tests, and project setups.
