Product Description
Birch plywood sheets are suitable for use in laser cutters and engravers. The three-millimeter-thick laminated wood sheet can be cut cleanly and engraved with high contrast. The finely sanded surface clearly captures laser markings, so additional surface finishing after cutting is usually unnecessary.
The edges are watered and sanded, which reduces fraying and increases mechanical strength. This also allows darker or darkly designed cut surfaces to be used without additional finishing. The plywood is stored dry and is free from foreign substances that could cause burns or damage in a laser cutter.
Applications include decoration and signage with fine lines, boxes and cases with interlocking tabs, toy parts, or prototypes made from sheet material. The material is particularly suitable for repetitively manufactured small and series parts, as the surface and edge quality reduces the need for finishing. A pack of five sheets is sufficient for several medium-sized projects or for prototype production.
Store dry and flat to prevent warping. Plywood absorbs moisture and becomes swollen as a result. Before cutting, the material thickness and size should be matched to your own laser cutter, as the cutting and engraving parameters depend on the specific device.
