Product Description
The linear bearing for 6-mm shafts enables axial movement with minimal friction. The four-row ball-bearing core can simultaneously absorb radial forces, simplifying use in mechanisms with changing loads.
The bearing runs on shafts with a diameter of 6 mm and fits into bores with an inner diameter of 8 mm. With a length of 27 mm, it fits into confined installation spaces and can absorb radial disturbing forces of up to approximately 98 N without deviating from the direction of movement. The axial play of approximately 0.3 mm is uncritical in most applications and results from the design of the ball-bearing assemblies.
Practical use scenarios include linear carriages in 3D printers or self-built gantries, where several such bearings guide one axis in parallel, as well as simple feed mechanisms in machine tools. This design is also used in pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, where the bearing allows the piston rod to move under lateral forces.
The sealing lips protect the bearing from contamination caused by dust and liquid splashes in the workshop; cleaning or lubrication is not required. Note that the maximum shaft speed is approximately 1000 rpm with lubrication and significantly lower during dry operation, which makes the bearing better suited to static or very slow movements than to high-frequency oscillations.
