Product description

This IC set combines five proven integrated circuits in DIP packages, keeping frequently needed components close at hand. The selection covers classic analog electronics and digital control tasks, including optocoupling, clock functions, measurement amplifiers, and filtering. All types are designed for a standard power supply of 5 to 12 volts and can be used directly in breadboards or perforated circuit boards.

The PC817 makes it possible to galvanically isolate powered circuits from the logic level, which is particularly necessary when switching relays or controlling high-voltage loads. The NE555 generates square-wave signals for clock generation and time-controlled functions while requiring very few external components. The two operational amplifiers, LM358 and LM324, are specialized for rail-to-rail operation with a low supply voltage. The LM358 is intended for single-channel applications, while the LM324 provides four channels in one package, saving space and connections.

Practical applications include signal amplifiers for sensors, simple voltage followers without buffer components, digital frequency counters using the NE555, and threshold switches for alarm signals. Controlling relay modules via optocoupler-isolated driver stages is also a typical application.

The storage box contains enough material for several medium-sized projects. A standard laboratory power supply with an adjustable output between 5 and 12 volts is sufficient for commissioning. Datasheets for all four IC types are freely available online and should be consulted before wiring.
