Product description

This switching power supply converts mains voltage into regulated 24 V DC and supplies stored loads in assemblies and control cabinets. With a current rating of 10 A, multiple sensors, relays, or control modules can be powered in parallel without voltage drops, provided that the total power does not exceed approximately 240 W.

The transformer on the input side and electronic rectification on the output side ensure ripple voltage below 1 percent, which is also suitable for EMC-sensitive electronics. An integrated heat conductor in the DIN rail enables continuous operation without external cooling. The output voltage remains constant with minor load fluctuations, so no additional voltage regulator is required.

Applications include industrial control cabinets for supplying measurement and control modules, control technology in larger home automation projects, and charging technology for 24 V battery systems. The power supply can also be used in mobile power generators or solar systems as redundancy between multiple power sources and consumers. One example would be supplying a 24 V busbar system in a workshop, where multiple actuators and sensors operate in parallel.

For installation in the designated control cabinet, a separate power connection is required; this is routed to the mains side via a power conductor in accordance with the rules for domestic electrical installations. The input must also be protected with a 16 A fuse. The 24 V output side does not require additional protection with short, well-insulated wiring to the consumer; for longer cables, a 10-to-16 A fuse on the output side is recommended. Heat buildup in the control cabinet above 50 degrees Celsius reduces the service life of the power supply.
