Product Description
A hand-crank generator kit converts manual rotation or wind power into electrical voltage. It operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction: the rotating shaft generates a changing magnetic field that induces voltage in a coil. As a direct-current source, the generator delivers up to 12 V and is therefore suitable for powering LEDs, small motors, or onboard power systems in portable devices.
The device is assembled by hand from mechanical components and wire cables. The adjustable propeller adapts to different wind speeds, allowing the generator to be operated both by vigorous hand cranking and by continuous airflow. Typical applications include mobile power supply during expeditions, educational projects on renewable energy generation, emergency equipment without an external power source, or demonstrations of the generator principle in science lessons and maker projects.
The device requires only manual operation or sufficient wind. Since it contains no storage device or electronics, the generator produces voltage only while it is actively rotating. The output voltage drops significantly at low speeds and reaches its rated values only above a certain rotational speed.
Safety Information
The generator produces voltages of up to 12 V when rotated quickly; an electric shock is unlikely at low speed, but possible at high speed. Propeller tips can cause injuries during operation; hands and hair must be kept at a safe distance. This device is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and educational purposes.
