Description
Grove Digital PIR Sensor
Description
This Grove digital PIR sensor detects motion within a range of up to 12 m and outputs “High” and “Low” signals.
What is a PIR sensor?
A passive infrared sensor measures infrared light emitted by objects and is used in motion detectors and security applications.
What does a PIR sensor detect?
PIR sensors are also known as PID or passive infrared detectors. Thus, the PIR sensor can detect infrared radiation emitted by particles.
How does the PIR sensor work?
The sensor detects infrared radiation and responds to changes when a human or animal passes by.
