Description

Product Overview

  • Expansion module with 40 GPIO pins for Raspberry Pi 3, Model U Type
  • Connector information and pin layout printed on the board
  • Secure contact through gold-plated contacts
  • Breaker board design for easy prototype wiring

Product Description

The GPIO expansion module expands the interface options of a Raspberry Pi 3 Model U Type with additional parallel connections. It is plugged into the single-board computer's 40-pin header and makes all pins accessible in parallel through separate connector rows.

All 40 pins are available on the board in two adjacent rows. The labeling directly on the board shows the numbers and functions, preventing errors when assembling circuits and eliminating the need to consult the datasheet. The gold-plated contacts ensure secure and durable connections to external components.

Typical applications include building sensor circuits with multiple components, flexible wiring of relays and small actuators, and prototype development involving frequent rewiring. The module can also be used for educational purposes when several students need to access different pins simultaneously.

Operation requires a Raspberry Pi 3 with a 40-pin GPIO header. The power supply and logic levels come entirely from the host board; no additional power supply is required. The module is not soldered to the Raspberry Pi; it is simply plugged in and held in place by friction contacts.

Safety Information

The module is intended exclusively for building prototypes and for testing and development purposes. Working with connected electronic components requires basic knowledge of circuit technology; if anything is unclear, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
